PRESS: Web surfers are mapping out the Net for themselves |
by Guido on 2006-08-20 10:21:22 |
Software is migrating from the desktop to the internet. Even features of browsers like Internet Explorer are becoming integrated with the web. Connectedy.com lets its users store their favorite links in an online account, which they can access and manage from any computer.
Andrew Strader, a software developer from Columbus, Ohio, launched Connectedy in May 2003. He got the idea in college, where he was using five different computers and needed a way to consolidate his favorite links in one place.
Web users who share a computer with family or use multiple computers at home, work, and school appreciate their ability to organize their own online activity and share favorites in the Connectedy's growing community.
Webmasters can use Connectedy to maintain categorical links pages and to publicize their online content. Students and researchers using Google to search can keep track of the new resources they find by simply adding them to their Connectedy accounts.
Connectedy has recently launched an Article segment, which will be a boon for freelance writers and occasional bloggers. A personal calendar feature is also in the works.
